Guard post is a place of the personnel manager of Siguntang Hill guardians. Open from 08:00 until 16:30 pm. The job descriptions of the guardian among others;

3.                  Pendopo

This place can be one of favorite places for the visitors where the visitors can feel the relax under the tree.

Information about the Seventh Tomb In Siguntang Hill

1.                  Radja Segentar Alam

Radja Segentar Alam, King’s real name is Iskandar Zulkarnain Alam, he came from out the kingdom of Mataram. Radja Segentar Alam in his time had conquered almost the entire island of Sumatera to the neighboring country Johor and Malacca in Malaysia.

2.                  Putri Kembang Dadar

Putri Kembang Dadar whose original name is Putri Bunga Melur. She was believed to be the prettiest princess at the time. Because of her beauty she even ascribed heavenly.

3.                  Panglima Bagus Kuning

Panglima Bagus Kuning derived Mataram. He came to Palembang to escort Radja Segentar Alam.

4.                  Panglima Bagus Karang

Panglima Bagus Karang which had the same duty with Panglima Bagus Kuning, which was to escort Radja Segentar Alam.

5.                  Pangeran Radja Batu Api

Pangeran Radja Batu Api he wandered into the land of malays to broadcast the religious laws of Islam.

6.                  Putri Rambut Selako

Putri Rambut Selako whose real name is Putri Damar Kencana Wungsu. According to the story she came from Keraton Yogyakarta, daughter of Prabu Prawijaya.

Panglima Tuan Djundjungan was also the schoolars of tha Arab who came to the land of the Malay (Swarnadwipa) to wander as he broadcasted the Islamic religion.

Attractions "Something to do" In Siguntang Hill

1.                  Vesak celebrations

Like the previous year ritual, welcome Waisak this year again be held Waisak together in Palembang Siguntang Hill. The location is a historical site that is closely related to the spiritual activity in the kingdom of Sriwijaya in advance. Attended by hundreds of Buddhists Palembang and from outside the city. Beginning with pradaksina walks around the area of the site and ends with worship service together. This year Waisak commemoration was on 24 May 2015.

Historical Story

Siguntang hill since the time of the kingdom of Sriwijaya has become a sacred place. Siguntang hill is a historical place where here used to be a place of worship at the time of the kingdom of Sriwijaya. Siguntang hill is a place for the evidence worship of Almighty God as the kingdom of Sriwijaya with discovery of a statue of Buddha in the hill which is now the statue located in front of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Museum. When the kingdom of Sriwijaya in the 13th century collapsed then came the Kingdom of Palembang Darussalam. This place (Siguntang Hill) is still a very sacred place. It was frequented come by kings of Palembang as a sanctuary or meditation to calm the mind in order to draw closer to Allah the maker of life.

Location

           Siguntang hill located in the village of Bukit Lama, District Ilir Barat I, is a 29–30 metres high small hill located at the northern bank of Musi River and within the vicinity of Palembang, capital city of South Sumatra province, Indonesia

 Access

It is quite easy to reach Siguntang Hill because of its location in the middle of the city of Palembang with a distance of about 4 km. The trip can be taken from the city center towards the Ampera-Bukit Besar. Access this course takes you directly to the Siguntang Hill. To get to Siguntang Hill, you can choose what you want to use means of transportation, if you want to bring a car or motorcycle itself.. You can also get there using public transport at a cost of Rp 4,000 per person or want to ring a car or motorcycle.
